Spin transport in a quantum spin orbital liquid

Quantum spin-orbital liquids (QSOLs) are a novel phase of matter, similar to quantum spin liquids, with fluctuations in both and orbital degrees freedom. We use non-equilibrium Green's function theory study out-of-equilibrium transport an exactly solvable QSOL model put forward by Yao Lee. find that the problem can be mapped free fermion effective fermionic baths have rapidly varying density states. In gapless phase, current $I_s-V_s$ relation is thus highly nonlinear, while chiral gapped conductance quantized $1/2\pi$ provided contacts sufficiently wide. The signature topological nature QSOL.
